Community Changemakers 2.0. aims to support projects that can improve the lives of the local community. We have already presented a project from Kenya, now it's time for a project from Jafari Ndembo, TME Education ambassador in Tanzania.
The problem his team faced was the difficult access to feminine hygiene items for students of a local school. The problem is twofold - on the one hand, there is a general shortage of such products, and on the other hand, many people find it difficult to raise the money to buy them. The solution proposed by Jafari Ndembo turned out to be a vending machine that allows you to get feminine hygiene items quickly and free of charge. The machine uses an RFID card system - after registering their magnetic card in the system, anyone can take up to two packs of sanitary napkins per month from the machine. They are available in two sizes and the machine holds up to 50 packages.
More information about the project can be found in the video:
Follow the progress of our ambassadors on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and at www.tmeeducation.com. Ndembo's work will certainly help many people and make their lives more comfortable. Projects that change local communities for the better are exactly what the Community Changemakers 2.0 initiative is all about. Stay tuned for future ideas and see you soon!
