Zettler Group is a global company from Germany which manufactures transformers, switches, and potentiometers, as well as LCD and TFT displays. However, it is mostly known as the manufacturer of high-class miniature electromagnetic signal relays, mostly used in industrial devices and consumer appliances and electronics.
Today, we want to draw your attention to the AZ850 series miniature electromagnetic signal relays by Zettler. They are capable of switching DC voltage of up to 220V and AC voltage of up to 250V. These components are characterised by their small footprint (14x9x5mm) and compatibility with the DIP10 package (2.54mm pin pitch) and are intended for through-hole mounting (THT) directly on a PCB.
The relays’ contacts are set up on a DPDT configuration, and the rated coil voltage, depending on the model, is 3V, 5V, 12V or 24V DC. The manufacturer highlights the high sensitivity of the products, thanks to which they can be controlled using low voltage. They are also characterised by a short operate & release time (even 2ms and 1ms), can work in temperatures ranging from -55°C up to 90°C, and their mechanical durability is 100 million switching cycles. The body is sealed with epoxy resin, so they are suitable for wave soldering.
The AZ850 series miniature electromagnetic signal relays can be used mainly in telecommunications and energy management. The products have been tested at 1500V, which means that they meet the requirements of the American FCC regarding the resistance of components to overloads caused by lightning discharges.
