Cliff, a respected manufacturer of electronic components, has just launched the innovative RAMP (Right Angle Multi Position) series of XLR plugs.
The XLR connectors, known for their mechanical and electrical durability, are applied in numerous branches of electronics. Sometimes, they are also used in power supply applications (e.g. for charging electric bicycles), as well as in lighting systems (DMX controllers).
One of the key advantages of the connectors supplied by Cliff is their robust metal design, which guarantees reliability in all operating conditions. The metal bodies are resistant to accidental disconnection, vibrations or impact. The products exhibit excellent performance both on and off stage, providing low contact resistance and therefore high quality of analogue audio transmission. What’s more, their design features truly innovative solutions.
The right angle plugs can be freely rotated around the socket axis. This efficient space-saving solution is a perfect choice for routing cables in the cabinets and patch panels where space is rather constrained.
What’s more: the RAMP connectors also feature an intuitive colour-coding system. Strain reliefs for the plugs come in nine different colour options. This allows the engineer/technician to easily distinguish between peripherals or to label them according to the users’ individual preferences.
In the TME catalogue, those plugs are available in male and female variants, equipped with from 3 to 5 pins. Their wiring requires soldering, which translates into extremely low connection resistance. All products in the RAMP series are cable-mounted and compatible with outer diameters of cables ranging from 3.5 mm to 8 mm.
