Along with the development of the electric vehicle (EV) industry, a need for standardised charging connectors has arisen. Unfortunately, no international standard for such equipment has been developed yet, and, therefore, the connectors vary depending on the region. For instance, in China, the GB/T standard is most commonly used. Although the GB/T sockets and plugs are similar in appearance to the European Type 2 standard, there is a difference in how their pins are connected. This may cause confusion to customers who wish to purchase cables and other charging station components. This is where HARTING, a German manufacturer of cables with GB/T connectors that are compliant with the Chinese standards comes to the rescue.

The e-mobility connectors come with a factory-installed 5 m or 7.5 m long cable. Cores with a cross-section of up to 6 mm2 (the size depends on the model), enclosed in a thick and durable cable jacket, are colour-coded according to international standards. The connectors are designed for the assembly and maintenance of charging stations. They may be either single-phase (250 V AC) or three-phase (480 V AC) products, meaning that they can operate in Mode 2 and Mode 3. You can use them to charge your vehicle with a power of up to 24.4 kW.
