One of the essential aspects of designing industrial installations and large-scale computer systems is to make sure that the installers, service and maintenance technicians have easy access to a number of interfaces, and at the same time keep the size of the entire structure as compact as possible. Thanks to the Dualslim series of Cliff connectors, technicians can mount a row of 20 sockets on a single level of a standard RACK cabinet.
Although for many years the industry standard has been 16 ports, Cliff products create new solutions which allow to connect even more devices on a single patch panel. In Dualslim connectors, the frame has a special shape, which makes it possible to mount the connector on the front of the panel (in order to make future changes in the device easier and faster), as well as, on its back side (which prevents the connectors from protruding outside the panel surface).
Thanks to placing the Dualslim connectors on a 19mm width frame, it became possible to mount up to 20 adapters in a standard 1U 19-inch patch panel (compared to the standard 16 sockets with the width of 26mm).
The supplier ensures availability of connectors in the most popular standards. These are USB interface (A, B and C formats) and computer networks (RJ-45) sockets, as well as widely used coaxial BNC connectors. Additionally, the manufacturer supplies connectors for HDMI and DisplayPort interfaces and a few other standards. Their range of applications is very wide – they are suitable for complex IT systems, for example server rooms, switchboard terminals of office communication networks and industrial buildings, as well as modern automated production or warehouse systems.
In the TME catalogue, you can also find a number of accessories that are compatible with the Dualslim series from CLIFF. These are silicone gaskets for connectors and single unit patch panels adapted for RACK-mounting.
