Signal connectors from the 140 series by EDAC have various applications – they are used to connect wires to PCB circuits. They are made with a popular 2mm contact pitch and are widely used in all types of electronic devices in both consumer equipment from the segment of household appliances and audio/video devices and industrial products. They are used to connect the main circuits with control panels, sensors and other peripherals. TME offers both single-row male and female connectors as well as contacts for the female connectors dedicated for crimping on 30-24 AWG wires (approx. 0.05…0.2mm2).
Connector shells by EDAC are made of polypropylene 66, which is stiff as well as mechanically and thermally resistant. Thanks to that, connectors from the 140 series can operate in temperatures from the range of -40°C to 105°C, providing insulation resistance of 1000MΩ. Contacts made from tinned alloy of copper and brass can operate at voltages up to 100V and at maximum current of 2A. Due to the small contact pitch, the AC breakdown voltage is 800V rms.
