The TME offer now includes components by Everlight, adapted to operate within the infrared frequency range with 940nm maximum peak sensitivity wavelength. These are both IR LED transmitters and receivers – phototransistors and PIN photodiodes.

We offer those components in the housings of different sizes and versions, for through-hole technology mounting (THT) or surface-mounting (SMD) – thanks to that it is easier to match components to the needs of a given application. Most characteristic features of these components include reliability, high photoelectric sensitivity and, in the case of receiver components, quick reaction time. IR LED transmitters are spectrally matched to phototransistors and photodiodes.

These components can be used with any kind of sensors, optical switches, encoders, optical detectors, data transmission and similar applications.

IR LEDs

THT components of diameters ranging from 1.5mm to 5mm and SMD components (1206 or 3216 packages). 150mW maximum power rating (for selected models). Products are available with a wide range of supply voltages (up to 4V), with clear transparent or blue lenses. The TME catalogue includes components with different viewing angles: from 20° to 160°.

PIN photodiodes

Everlight PIN photodiodes are characterised by short reaction time (even 6ns), so they can be used (together with emitting diodes) as effective photodetectors in applications requiring high operating frequency. They are made in various formats, SMD and THT, equipped with flat or convex lenses (black with a filter or transparent). Their distinctive features are 5nA or 10nA dark current and max. reverse voltage of 32V.

Phototransistors

Phototransistors are used in various types of circuits (position sensors, encoders, meters), which are necessary elements of sorting devices, printers and cameras. Everlight components are adapted to the maximum collector-emitter voltage of 30V. Similarly to PIN photodiodes, phototransistors are available in SMD and THT packages with standard diameters.
