At TME, you can now find FFC ribbons from Global Connector Technologies (GCT). The products are typically used in precision electronics circuits, facilitating the design of compact (flat) devices equipped with LCDs, motherboards and other modules requiring interconnection.
FFCs, or Flat Flex Cables, have connectors with 0.5 mm pitch. They come in two variants: A (with contacts on the same side on both ends) and D (contacts on opposite sides). With such a choice, it is easier to find a ribbon that fulfils the requirements of the project or facilitates the positioning of the cable.
Please note that the ribbon cables from GCT are available in different lengths: at TME, you can purchase products from 30 mm to 304 mm long, comprising from 8 to 50 cores. Another significant parameter, especially for constructors of battery-powered devices, is the products’ wide thermal tolerance ranging from -40°C to 80°C. It is also important to highlight that the cables operate at a rated voltage of 60 V and can conduct currents of up to 1 A (selected variants), which means that they can be used for establishing power supply connections and more.
