RAC05E is a series of 5W AC/DC converters. They are manufactured by RECOM, a company specialising in power supply components and equipment.
The RAC05E converters are designed to meet the requirements of home appliances, IoT, as well as (low power) industrial automation components. The products are contained in a sealed enclosure, with leads provided for through-hole mounting (THT). In addition, the subseries marked with the KT suffix features outputs that are compatible with transformers fitted with an EI30 body, therefore the KT version products can be used as replacements for the EI30 solutions. The RAC05E products meet stringent requirements for efficiency and ergonomics, hence they help save electricity. For the presented products, the no-load power consumption is 0.1W.
The converters feature short-circuit protection (SCP), overcurrent protection (OCP) as well as output overvoltage protection (OVP). Furthermore, they provide an I/O isolation voltage of 4.2kV AC. In addition, the manufacturer's specification indicates that, at a supply voltage in the range 100...240V AC, the devices can operate at full load at temperatures ranging from -25°C to +55°C.
