In the ever-changing world of technology and industry, effective wire and cable management is key to maintaining the functionality of different systems and, most importantly, efficient stocktaking, maintenance work and modernisation. This is where HellermannTyton, a leading manufacturer of innovative cable management solutions, comes to rescue. Their newly-launched EVO7i cable tie gun provides enhanced efficiency and comfort of work.
The ability to adjust tension, which translates into dependable consistency, and to automatically cut off the excess of the cable tie are the most noteworthy functions of the cable tie gun. The tension is adjusted by means of a knob with a clearly labelled tension adjustment value stated at the rear of the tool (as shown in the photo). Proper tension adjustment ensures durable fastening of the cable while reducing the risk of damaging the insulation. After the cable tie is tensioned, the excess is cut off, flush with the head, to avoid sharp edges, which occur when cable ties are cut off with cutting pliers or a knife. The steel blade used for that purpose is replaceable, so it will remain sharp and ready to work.
Another substantial advantage of the EVO7i is its ergonomic shape – it was designed with comfort and efficiency in mind, especially when it comes to prolonged use of the tool, often in an inconvenient position, e.g. when mounting cable bundles in ceiling cable ducts (the long, narrow nose of the gun facilitates work in cramped spaces). The ergonomic handle has been coated with an anti-slip material ensuring the comfort of use, reducing hand fatigue and, therefore, improving productivity. As the tool has a very straightforward design, it can be used even by inexperienced employees, e.g. trainees.
At TME, you can find, literally, hundreds of cable ties offered by HellermannTyton. Many of the products are compatible with the EVO7i (it can handle cable ties up to 4.8 mm in width), which best reflects the versatility of the tool. It can be successfully used in a number of different industries and applications, not only in electrical work but also in the telecommunication and IT sector or for labelling pneumatic, hydraulic and sewerage systems, etc.
