At TME, you can find the R75 series of polypropylene capacitors by KEMET. Each of those products is housed in a self-extinguishing solvent-resistant casing made from thermosetting resin compliant with the UL 94V-0 flammability standard. What is more, the capacitors are AEC-Q200 qualified, which means that they can be used in the automotive industry.
Let us draw your attention to the products’ wide capacitance range of 470 pF up to 33 µF. In addition, the capacitors can operate at voltages varying from 700 V AC to 2000 V DC (depending on the model) with the operating temperature of -55°C to 105°C. Apart from this, the series provides a choice of different lead spacings – 4 mm, 17 mm, 25 mm and 30 mm. The leads can be up to 30 mm long.
Typically, the products are used in power factor correction circuits. However, they can also work as coupling capacitors in switched-mode power supplies (SMPS) and as resonant capacitors in electronic ballasts and compact lamps. On top of that, they can be applied in oscillator circuits.
