German company KNIPEX, whose origins date back to 1882, supplies renowned hand tools, acclaimed by professionals. It specialises primarily in the production of various types of pliers – from universal to special-purpose ones. Electrical engineering is one of the areas of application for which KNIPEX tools are manufactured, and the KNP.975304 crimping pliers presented here belong to this group of products.
Automatic crimping pliers with symmetrical square jaws prevent damage to both cables (strands in the core) and ferrules. They are characterised by a wide crimping range, and they can work with wire cross-sections between 0.08 mm2 and 16 mm2, so they can be successfully applied to most typical jobs, such as wiring distribution boxes and mains supply systems.
The square compression die guarantees ideal contact surfaces in the clamp connection, and therefore minimises its resistance and ensures safe operation of electrical devices. Crimping pliers automatically adjusts to the specific size of wire ferrule (self-adjustment feature). Since it is only possible to open the pliers after they have been fully closed, the user can always be confident that the element has been properly affixed. Additionally, work ergonomics is improved by the toggle lever (ensuring optimum transmission of force) and a modular grip handle made of two-component material and the low weight of the tool.
