The range of products available from TME now includes a series of industrial RJ45 connectors by Harting. The main advantage of these connectors is that they can be mounted on a cable without the use of specialist tools, which significantly reduces installation time. The connectors are characterised by their durable construction - their bodies are made from zinc casting. As a result, they also offer a wide thermal tolerance (from -40°C to 85°C).
In addition, the connectors are fitted with a system of blades that cut the excess cable when crimping the connector. At this point, it is worth noting that the plugs are suitable for a wide range of cable diameters, from 4.5mm to 9mm, with both stranded and solid wire conductors. The products are available in versions with 4 pins (ProfiNet) and 8 pins (10G), made in accordance with the Ethernet Cat 5 and Cat 6a standards (depending on the model) – in addition, all products presented here are compatible with the PoE technology (Power over Ethernet). Two cable routing options are available: straight and at 90° angle, which further facilitates installation in industrial environments. Thanks to the metal housing, the plugs are fully shielded, which additionally protects data transmission against electromagnetic interference.
