Despite the growing number of alternatives, especially SSR solutions, electromagnetic relays are still widely used in automation systems. As they are among the key components of these installations and are prone to wear and tear, they must be regularly replaced. When it comes to plug-in relays (usually available in din-rail or PCB mount) it is worth considering RELPOL products – affordable and high quality relays.
The R2N, R3N and R4N series relays are electromagnetic relays with DPDT, 3PDT, and 4PDT contact configuration – that can control up to four independent circuits. These are upgraded variants of the R series with improved design. Typical switching capacity range: 250V AC and 24 V DC. Depending on the model, they are controlled by signals in the range from 6 V DC to 220 V AC. These relays have contact resistance of 100 mΩ and a maximum switching frequency of up to 1200 cycles per hour (0.3 Hz). In addition, they have a mechanical trip indicator, test button, and a contact lock. They come in transparent housings that provide good dust protection (IP40 ingress protection).
