A new product series from the prestigious and globally known brand TDK has been introduced into the TME catalogue. It’s a group of B82791 inductors, which features components with double winding, a ferrite core, in a plastic case. All components from this series are intended for THT mounting.
Most importantly, the B82791 inductors are characterised by compact design and high resonant frequency. They are made in different variants with inductance from 4.7 mH to 47 mH and operating current from 100 mA to 0.9 A. As shown in the photos, the inductors are available in a vertical and horizontal version (in relation to the surface on which they are mounted), thanks to which they can be better fitted into different projects and used to build smaller, more convenient devices.
EN60938 compliance is an important asset of these components. EN60938 is a standard that describes the desired features of inductive components designed for suppression of electromagnetic interference. They also have UL and ENEC (VDE) certificates and are made in compliance with the RoHS Directive.
The B82791 inductors are mainly applied in circuits designed to provide electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of the device, they are also used in switched-mode power supplies (especially miniature ones) and electronic ballasts for lamps and LED drivers.
