Traco Power flush-mounted power supplies

Traco Power offers AC/DC power supplies which fit into a standard 60 mm diameter flush-mounted junction box. This solution addresses the needs of many electricians who are looking for ways to facilitate the laying and retrofitting of mains systems. Most of LED lighting, Smart Home system components and IoT (Internet of Things) devices require a standard DC power source (usually 5 V, 12 V or 24 V) to operate. With the TIW series of power supplies, the majority of which are cylinders with a diameter of 55 mm and a height of 23.6 mm, technicians are able to obtain such voltages without the need to make additional grooves or install surface-mounted distribution boxes. Traco Power is one of the few manufacturers who offer such solutions.

The TIW series AC/DC power supplies are available in variants with power ratings of 5 W, 6 W, 12 W and 24 W. Their input voltage ranges from 93 V to 264 V AC, while the output voltage rating spans between 5 V and 24 V, with a current of up to 2A (depending on the model). The products boast a high IP67 rating as they are enclosed in a plastic housing – which makes them highly resistant to dust ingress and splashing – and their operating temperature is -25°C and 50°C, which makes them suitable for use in non-standard applications such as outdoor environments. Furthermore, the manufacturer assures that the TIW series products can be safely mounted on panels made of wood or other material of an unknown flammability rating. The power supplies are equipped with short-circuit and overload protection. They are equipped with connection wires, which makes installation even easier.

The TIW series switched-mode power supplies are an excellent choice for alarm systems, feeding power to sensors, remote-controlled home automation relays, as well as HVAC control panels or DC motors.
