The TME’s assortment of quartz crystals and oscillators has been expanded to include products from TXC and QST.
The recently added components offer a wide range of parameters and sizes. This new product range includes: “classic” THT quartz oscillators, as well as compact and low-profile surface-mounted (SMD) components. They are mainly applied in RTC circuits, i.e. compact clock components (32.768 kHz), but there are also products that are commonly used for generating clock signals for microcontrollers and microprocessors (8 MHz, 16 MHz, etc.). Other applications of the quartz crystals and oscillators presented here include digital interface synchronisation circuits (especially serial, such as UART and USB), including buses used in consumer products, e.g. the HDMI standard.
The majority of the products in this new range operate at frequencies from 32.768 kHz to 50 MHz with the capacitance of 6 pF to 20 pF. In terms of thermal tolerance, these components can withstand temperatures ranging from -20 to 70°C or from -40 to 85°C, while maintaining the frequency stability of ±10 ppm (selected models). Moreover, among the new products, there are also components that are compliant with the AEC-Q200 automotive standard. This means that they have been tested for resistance to suboptimal working conditions, for example sustained exposure to vibrations and other mechanical factors, and they can be used in automotive electronics circuits.
It should also be noted that the components with the most popular parameters are available directly from TME’s stock.
