Murata DC/DC converters to power motor drivers

Today, we present a new solution of the supplier - miniature DC/DC converters of MGN1series.

the presented articles are capacitively isolated modules designed to power motor drivers, primarily bridge circuits. Selected models can provide both positive and negative power relative to ground; they are available in single- or dual-output variants. One possible application for inverters is to work with gallium nitride-based transistors (so-called GaN FETs), which allow for highpower density and are often used in DC motor controllers.

Despite their very small size (as small as 14.5x12 mm), the invertersdeliver currents of up to 125 mA (their nominal power is 1 W). They also feature wide thermal tolerance (-40...105°C). Additional advantages of the series include high insulation voltage (3 kV AC) and very low insulation capacitance of 2.5 pF.

The modules are designed for SMD mounting, so they can be easily implemented in compact servo or micromotor controllers, small automation circuits, IoT devices, etc.
