The handles ensure a firm grip, while the smooth surface of the thin nose makes it easier to handle wires and guide them through tight spaces. The jaws also have a special notch for gripping hexagonal objects, which is perfect for tightening hexagonal screws and nuts.

The WIHA.45705 pliers are also equipped with cutting blades located near the pivot point. They are designed for precise cutting of copper or aluminium solid-core and stranded-core wires up to a core cross-section of 5 x 2.5 mm² (e.g. three-phase mains cables with the diameter of around 15 mm). At the same time, the shape of the blades also facilitates removing insulation from cables of different sizes (there are three marked points for stripping wires with a standard cross-section of 0.7 mm², 1.5 mm² and 2.5 mm²).

The impressive list of functions also includes crimping wire ferrules in sizes ranging from 0.5 mm² to 2.5 mm². Last but not least, the tool is fitted with a high-leverage screw shearing hole for shortening screws with diameters up to 3.3 mm (intended for the most common screw sizes, i.e. M2.5 and M3).
