Alutronic radiators for electronic components

Alutronic is a German manufacturer of solutions intended for cooling (thermoregulation) of electronic components and subassemblies. These are, above all, radiators. The manufacturer fabricates them by extrusion moulding of aluminum, thanks to which they are lightweight and precisely shaped.

The presented offer is intendedfor mounting on BGA and PGA arrays (e.g. microcontrollers, microprocessors), as well as components with SOT and TO housings (power transistors, audio amplifiers, voltage stabilizers are usually encountered in such formats). The radiators are available in many width versions (from 12mm to 100mm). Their height ranges from 6.5mm to 55mm, and the base thickness from 1.3mm to 10mm. These components can be purchased in several shapes: U-shaped, H-shaped and in ribbed version, which best dissipates thermal energy. The thermal resistance of products (depending on the selected model) ranges from 1.2K/W to 45K/W. Alutronic radiators can be purchased in screw-on or glue-on versions (the latter requiring thermally conductive paste) or soldered versions (for fastening holes on a PCB).

Theproducts’ light weight and broad range of sizes are among the most important advantages of this product range. It is also worth emphasizing that articles can be purchased in a black (anodized) or “natural” (metallic surface) version.

Thanks to the mentioned features, Alutronic solutions are suitable for a very wide range of applications, nearly wherever cooling of electronic systems is required:in voltage conversion circuits, control of lines with high electrical parameters, in microprocessor systems, etc.
