Back to List

The TME catalogue has been extended to include new, competitive logic circuits from Nexperia, a manufacturer specialising in this segment of electronics, one of the largest suppliers in its sector.

IC: digital; buffer, 74AUP1T34GW-Q100H translator

From the practical point of view, digital electronics is based on circuits where the inputs and outputs assume one of two (binary) stable states, corresponding to logical '1' or '0'. These are most often represented by the voltages that are easiest to obtain in a given design, so that the high state reaches approximately the value of the supply voltage (usually 3.3 V or 5 V DC), while the low state corresponds to 'ground', i.e. a potential difference close to 0 V. Such circuits often serve as logic gates and are combined into larger circuits that perform various Boolean algebra functions. Years ago, this was one of the most important branches of electronics, which made the construction of the first calculating machines possible ‒ and with the development of technology, it became the foundation for the current digital world. Although the development of microcontrollers has revolutionised digital electronics (allowing software support for logic operations), gates, converters, decoders or multiplexers still prove to be an indispensable component of many devices.

Nexperia’s product range available from the TME catalogue comprises a wide selection of various types of circuits. They are available in an array of SMD packages – from the convenient SO to the miniature and subminiature X2SON – all of which reflect the current market trends and are made with a focus on building compact, energy-efficient devices. The components come in traditional TTL (Transistor-Transistor Logic) versions, but also in the form of advanced CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor) circuits with additional supply voltage tolerance and lead protection. Listed below, you can view the main groups of Nexperia products in TME.

Level translators

Level translators, i.e. components that match voltage levels (logic levels) between digital circuits made in different technologies, allowing for communication between them.

Buffers, inverters and transceivers

Circuits that support communication between microprocessor systems. They compensate for the low power of the controller outputs, adjust and amplify signals, and reduce interference.

Decoders and multiplexers

Most commonly used where there is a need to extend the control capability of the main circuit, e.g. by increasing the number of inputs or outputs.

Logic gates

The small housing contains one or more logic gates which – in performing their function – are significantly faster and more efficient than the software solution used in the microcontroller. This makes these components particularly useful when it comes to simple but time-critical tasks.
